Academic intervention is targeted instruction that supplements school curricula to help struggling students close-learning gaps and improve proficiency, particularly related to math and language. While tutoring focuses on classroom content, homework help, and grade improvement, academic intervention focuses on deep understanding and practice of the barriers that complicate a learning experience.

At District, our Academic Interventionists are highly experienced with special educators and with extensive experience in helping children with complex disabilities build solid foundations, with common targets including phonics, handwriting, encoding/decoding, numeracy, and general math and literature.
